CHARITIES
The Dominican Republic is a thriving economy, and it also has its share of poverty like other Latin American countries. You might have seen gorgeous resort locations or luxury private villas, because you are blessed with a better life. The other side is the not so nice homes and poor families struggling to make a simple living.
Charities are like Angels that give a helping hand to others, specially to those who lack basic support in their everyday lives. Giving is living, this list of charitable institutions need help via donations of personal hygiene items, shoes, food, educational material, toys, books and other items to be distributed in the poorest communities.
Browse their websites and send them an email about the list of needed items before you travel, sometimes it`s toothbrushes, soaps or shoes – very specific to their immediate needs. When possible, we help connect travelers with local transportation to these charities to make it easier to those volunteers and donors that bring love and care to the ones that need it most. At least once in life, experience the gift of giving.
