Dr. De La Cruz is one of the most respected veterinary doctors in Sosua, and one of the busiest. He started as a volunteer for local animal welfare associations, and later opened his own pet clinic and store. Dogs and cats get surgery, detox, healing and neutering under professional conditions. The store offers pet beds, transport cages, pet toys, leashes, prime pet food, shampoos and medicines. The clinic/store is located at the main highway 5, close to the Varma gas station and near the Sosua Ocean Village entrance.

Dr. De La Cruz is fluent in English, Spanish, French and German. He has helped owners with placing their pets offspring in new homes and he also volunteers with special animal neutering campaigns. His working hours are 8:00am-1:00pm and 3:00pm-5:00pm
